Cinema 4D Command Line Renderer Client (Requires MAXON Licence Server or RLM)

Note: Orders are manually processed during working hours only (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm). This normally takes a few hours but can sometimes take longer during busy periods. Please also note serial numbers are processed by our HQ in Germany who work one hour ahead of us. This means we cannot get serials after 4pm GMT.

Cinema 4D Command Line Renderer Clients enable you to use third-party render managers to render out Cinema 4D scenes. You need one client per OS instance (physical or virtual) and you must own either the MAXON Licence Server or RLM support to use it. Note, you only need this option if:

  • You want to use a third party CLR manager
  • Or you are offering commercial rendering services (e.g. you operate a render farm and offer rendering services to Cinema 4D users).
  • Or you want to use Linux machines as Cinema 4D render clients (a client version is available for Linux builds - CentOS 7 or Ubuntu 14.4).

Cinema 4D Studio includes MAXON's own network rendering option called Team Render which enables you to render over a network with unlimited client support. This option is much cheaper than the third-party solution, but can only be used to manage Cinema 4D jobs and not other software you may own.

If you decide to consider a third-party render manager, there are several that customers use with Cinema 4D including Deadline, Qube! and Royal Render. However, you should contact the maker of the the software to ensure they support your version of Cinema 4D and any plugins you may wish to us.

The purchase of this product provides you with the licencing information which needs to be entered on the MAXON Licence Server or RLM and a file which is required to be used for any Linux clients.

Due to the licencing fees required for us to support CLR, the annual cost of maintaining your serials on this system remain the same. So MAXON Service Agreements cost the same as the initial purchase. MSA ensures that your software will support whatever the current release is of Cinema 4D or BodyPaint 3D.

Note: If you're intending to cover your licences with a MAXON Service Agrement, please note that you need to take out an MSA for all MAXON software that you own.
